Decisions, decisions...

We just got back from taking Lindsay to Arizona State University to check out their Downtown Phoenix campus - this campus is only about 2 1/2 years old and very, very nice. The classrooms were nice and all the desks and tables have outlets for the kids computers, phones, ipods etc. The buildings were nice and comfortable, the dorms were nice with a bathroom for every two rooms and to top it off there are washers and dryers on every floor and the washing machine will TEXT your phone and tell you when to come put your clothes in the dryer!! I don't know about Lindsay, but I'm planning on moving there! We also walked around the Tempe campus which is also very nice, went to a Mariners spring training game, visited the Phoenix Zoo and to top it off, had dinner with Ron's brother Art, wife Mary and her family. We had a very fun time and now it's getting closer for Lindsay to make the big decision!

Busy Weekend!

Had a busy and fun weekend...Danny came home for spring break, the girls went to Spotlight Dance competition in Seattle and Lindsay went to the Sweethearts Dance. Ron and I had to split and divide - we all went to Seattle on Friday, watched McKenna do her solo and Lindsay's team do all their numbers, Lindsay and I came back Saturday morning and did all the pre-dance primping...unfortunately Lindsay came down with strep throat and couldn't really enjoy her evening. Ron stayed in Seattle with McKenna and watched all her teams numbers on Saturday, (I really hated to miss that, I haven't seen all her dances yet). Said hello to Danny a split second before he left for a friends house, then my friend Vickie and I took off to take the group pictures of all the decked out teenagers!

Drill Team does it again!

Lindsay's high school drill team went to competition in Pasco this past Saturday, it's a long day of sitting on hard bleachers, but completely worth it to watch these girls in action!

Military number...took 1st place

Hip Hop...took 1st place
Pom...took 3rd (they'll get 'em next time)!

Lots of kisses...

Every year the drill team holds a fund raiser right before Valentines Day called "Kissing Bandits". Lucky students and teachers throughout the school receive packages of candy and balloons and a big red lipstick kiss on their cheek...but the most fun of all is seeing the actual Kissing Bandits all dressed up and ready to let their lips loose! Hip Hop

The Hip Hop number this year for Lindsay's Drill Team is so fun. The audience loves our girls and we even heard the opposing team talk about how good they are! The girls rocked last nights performance at the girls basketball half time and to top it off, our basketball team won!

I'm kinda hooked now...

On my last post many weeks ago, I said I had had it with trying to upload pictures. I've done everything I can to make the process faster, but oh well. At first I thought "that's life, I tried" but I keep thinking about blogging and even though I don't have much to say, I kind of miss it! We just got ourselves a new computer...so I'll try this again!

January had Lindsay going to her first Drill competition for the year...the girls took first in Hip Hop and Military and 2nd in Pom! Way to go Molahiettes!!

McKenna entered a pageant in February and took home top talent and the Leader of Tomorrow scholarship - we are very proud of her and she certainly held her own against older girls. I am sure this will not be her last pageant!

This morning was filled with heart shaped waffles and chocolate candy - we sure missed having Danny around though! I doubt he would have ate the waffles, but I'm sure he's enjoying his chocolate candy! Tonight is petite sirloin, roasted vegies and strawberry trifle for dessert and for entertainment we are going to go watch Lindsay and her drill team perform their very fun Hip Hop number for half time at the girls basketball game, GO CHIEFS!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Christmas Cheer!

The whole family: The five of us, Julia's parents, brother, uncle, sister and two nephews all spent last week and Christmas in Mazatlan! The weather was perfect...a balmy 85 degrees, the beach was beautiful, the food great, the company excellant. The only thing wrong was that Ron had to come back the Monday before Christmas for work. Our good friends, Rick and Becky Hourigan took Ron in and fed him a yummy Christmas dinner, so at least he wasn't ALL alone! The kids and I missed Ron and wished he was with us, but we hunkered down and survived the surf, atv ride, kayaking etc. all by ourselves! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a very Happy New Year!

P.S. I give up...our system will NOT download pictures without taking hours and hours. So let's pretend. Here's a picture of the view from our room, us relaxing on the beach, fun times, and the snow we came home to! Enjoy.
