Na Na Na Na...Hey Hey Hey...Goodbye

Last night was the dance recital for Today's Generation. Every year it amazes me how the directors get all these groups together, perform three shows and it all goes smoothly (well at least from the audiences perspective)! Last night was especially poignant for Ron and I, as it was Lindsay's last time dancing on stage with this group. But we are so glad that McKenna is still dancing! We love watching how she has grown and seeing her confidence on stage. She is becoming a beautiful girl and promising dancer and we are SO proud of her. We are looking forward to many more years of dance and BLOGS!

This whole dance thing began when Lindsay was 4, I put her in a ballet class in Concord, CA and she LOVED being a "pony" at the end of class, forget about all that other ballet type stuff, she waited for free time!

We moved to Moses Lake when she was 6 and put her and McKenna in the local dance company. Throughout the years changes have occurred, the dance company evolved into TG, we moved to Montana for 2 years, came back...but basically Lindsay has danced with the same core group of girls all her life. We absolutely love all these girls, we have been so lucky to have ended up here with the directors we have that while keeping a stern hand, love them all, so a special thanks to Peggy, Lori and Janet!

Watching the "Good bye" dance and slideshow of the 3 seniors that are moving on was hard and yes I blubbered like a baby at all 3 shows (and still while I type). But these girls have a new and exciting life ahead of them and I'm looking forward to seeing all that they become.

Good Luck Lindsay, Ashley and Lilly! We are all PROUD of you!

Just for Lindsay!

Lindsay was complaining that I hadn't updated my blog! And since my kids are actually LOOKING at it, then I guess I'd better update something!

Here's for you Lindsay...I LOVE YOU!!!!

Class of 2009!

It is such a weird feeling to know another one of your children has graduated. This is what we wish and hope and work for every day of their lives, but still....I kept my tears in check, even though that is very hard for me, but I know that Lindsay would prefer me to hold it together! She has always been my very pragmatic child and I think her way of looking at life and knowing what she wants will take her far in nursing or any other path she chooses because she can separate facts while also being extremely compassionate and loyal. I always think back to when she was about 3 and Dan 4 and Dan was very ill with an ear infection. We came home from the doctor, he laid down on the couch, she dumped out the Lego bucket, turned it upside down and sat on it next to Danny ALL day long. As soon as he was awake enough to realize his sister was there to grant his every wish and command...he milked it big time! But she never waivered, she just took care of him.

Lindsay, we are very proud of you and we love you very much!
